I am pleased to announce the release of Avantra 25.2! While 25.2 is a service release focused on software stability, it introduces several powerful new features designed to streamline SAP automation and improve operational resilience.
Let’s break down the key deliverables and benefits for Avantra users in this release.
Significant SAP Security Improvements
Security remains a top priority for SAP operations teams. In 25.2, we are delivering two complementary types of new security features that align with SAP security best practices:
- Secured Parameters: We have introduced secured parameters and input data for automations and custom checks to eliminate clear-text data. This approach secures the configuration of technical assets and significantly reduces the risk of sensitive technical information exposure.
- Enhanced Access Control: We added support for the tools your enterprise already uses to secure access. The new login screen supports MFA (QLP) and passkeys, along with SAML integration in the Avantra next-generation UI. We have also reworked API key storage to ensure more secure integrations.

Cost is King: Optimizing Hybrid SAP Management
Migration to the cloud is complex - and costly. Avantra customers already benefit from optimized management of complex, hybrid SAP landscapes regardless of where SAP runs. In 25.2, new enhancements to the Avantra core further reduce the cost and complexity of this infrastructure.
- Scalable Agent Architecture: A new agent architecture delivers additional scalability and reduces the management hardware required for hybrid transformation projects. Instead of doubling your footprint during a migration, Avantra’s technology scales on your existing infrastructure to support on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments concurrently.
Eliminating the need for separate management tooling not only lowers costs but also simplifies the daily life of the operations team.

Management in the Cloud (ERP) & SAP BTP
Anyone at the recent TechConnect in North America couldn’t help but notice the industry's recognition of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). Composable ERP - using SAP plus a mix of applications and services leveraging elastic cloud capacity - is the ERP of the future.
However, Composable ERP presents a management challenge. Most large enterprises adopt an iterative approach to SAP cloud migration, resulting in years of operating across both cloud and traditional on-prem environments.
Avantra recognized this challenge early. We have enhanced our support for SAP BTP observability with the specific goal of unifying management functionality. Whether on-prem or in the cloud, Avantra allows you to manage common operations policies from a single point of control.
New features include:
- New checks and monitoring for BTP sub-accounts and applications.
- Upgrades to the Next Gen UI for elegantly managing mixed architectures.
